I am wondering if it is possible to file a K1 for my fiancee who works in Taiwan, but is a Philippine national. She has until July 2009 for her contract to end and we have started thinking about getting her visa before her contract is up, not waiting until she gets back to Cebu.

Would it be possible to get everything done while she is in Taipei?

Would 9 months be a good time frame without having to worry too much?

Thanks for any help!

Yes, you can petition her even she's working in Taiwan, just make sure that the US Embassy in Taiwan as the corresponding embassy abroad. My husband filed k1 before while am working in Hongkong and was processed a lot faster than in the Philippines.

I'm not sure the 9 months frames, depends how long it will take the petitions approval, how long the NVC will send it to the corresponding embassy abroad, and if she's ready all the required documents before her intervview.
