Not sure where to post this, but I need help. I have sent letters to my fiance and my family has sent them to me while I was visiting him. We have not recieved ONE letter or card. I know our address, but can someone who mails to their fiance in, Egypt, tell me exactly how to write it? Apartment is in Maadi, which is outside Cairo.

Would I write: Egypt, Cairo, Maadi or ? and is that written above our names or below our address like in the states? I'd appreciate any help as I know others get their mail and I can't see my family paying $80.00 to send Fedex like I had to pay to send my I-129f to my mom. :( I'm trying to make labels for her so maybe we'll get our mail. :)

Typically we write both.

Example:

Mohammed XXXX

9 "Whatever" Street

2nd Floor (if one)

Maadi, Cairo

EGYPT XXXXX (zip code)

Hope that helps! Good luck!

I just want to let you know that I have heard where a lot of people do not receive letters in Egypt. My husband never received any of mine and I have two friends that never received their letters either. Do not send anything in important in the envelope. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your help and he lives in, sakanat el maadi. But the address is sooo long and we might be making a mistake with it somehow. No one will help him when he goes to the post office, as they seem to not know how to have someone from another country send mail to egypt. :( Would we address it as: ?? thanks for any help..

We Fed-Ex EVERYTHING to each other! It gets pricey, BUT it's the safest, surest, & fastest way to get your mail. :) My fiance has always told me that the regular mail system in Egypt sucks and that letters get lost in the mail all the time!

In happy moments... PRAISE God.

In difficult moments... SEEK God.

At every moment... THANK God.
