US Embassy Interview Experience

I just arrived from Manila. I had my interview earlier today at the US Embassy.Im super grateful that everything went all smooth.

The pre screening of papers was conducted by a Filipina personnel, she was very nice and asked me so easy question. Here's the funny thing, she asked where I'm from, i told her from Cebu City, she was like "so you dont speak tagalog" maybe because every time she asked i answered her in English - i replied " marunong po, pero tigas and dila " she smiled. She is from Window 21 - very nice lady, pretty and long hair.

Documents she asked:

pictures - i gave her all 30 pcs

birth cert

nbi clearance

I-134 (w2 and pay stubs) - she asked for the IRS told her my fiance sent it in California Service Center - she checked it from my fiances docs and she okayed

then a brief questions like - my name, his name, first and last met,

i told her a brief story of my fiance's cute son which im guna be his mom soon

My fiance 28 yrs old had an accident with his ex wife 34yo last January 2007, the ex wife died on the accident.

The baby was still 8 DAYS OLD THEN. The US personnel was really in awww and said - you sure will be his mom :D

then said wait till your name will be called again.

The last interview experience:

Went to Window 32 (omg its the Consul Oooficer).

She has a young looking pretty face, i bet she is like less than 30 years old.

She let me sworn with my right hand rising. After i swore i still raise my hand, she then said you may put your hand down now LOL, i didnt know its done :P

Here are her Questions:

What is your name

What is your petitioner's name

Where did you meet

When was the first and the last time you met

Do you have children

Do you have a Certificate of No Marriage, May I have it?

Do i have work - Im a Tech Support Engr, I trouble shoot internet for wired and wireless connections

She was looking at the babys picture and asked - how old is the baby when his mother died.

Then she said you can go back to your seat and we'll call you.

Then someone called my name over the microphone to go to Window 38.

The Filipino lady gave back the appointment letter and that famous pink slip saying " magbayad ka sa delbros tapos pwede na maka uwi" ( Pay to the Delbros Counter then you can go home. )

I paid P250 in Delbros - I then asked the lady from the booth of Delbros whats going on, No one told me if I Pass or Not, just went to their booth and pay.

She gave me her WIDEST SMILE and 2 THUMBS UP and said - OKAY na YAN MAAM! wait nalang kayo sa VISA nyo. Im like ohh Okay..

--------

My appointment time was 7AM - i get done around 9am, got out from the Embassy at 9.20AM.

Before we got inside the embassy, i was a little down and silent and worried because my I 134 Affidavit of Support is only photocopy and its not even notarized. Its like Im the only applicant there who did not have an orig copy of I 134.

My fiance has only 1 orig copy with notary and was sent to CSC already during the I 129 F application.

They keep on trying to pacify me and said it will be alright.

And guess what after i gave it to the pre screening interview, the Consul Officer just returned it along with the pictures w/o even asking me.THANK GOD.. Maybe because Babe already sent one to CSC. ...

Through this journey, i gained some friends and I would like to commend VISAJOURNEY for its existence, this site truly helped ALOT. I became friend with Richel which u can see her as weweweqeqeq or somethin like that lol and Honeybadger newly known as honeyburger, there is a funny story behind.

I also met a friend named Myla Riza Lagunay, met her at St Lukes.

To be honest when we still have NOA1 i never look up at VJ that much because it frustrates me, seeing those people who got their NOA2 or just been approved with their VISA and all. But when we got our NOA2 thats the time that i feel like communicating and asking more information, thanks for Richel for being such kind and patience to me.

I soon to be with my love and our baby! Thank you lord for being there in every step of the way. Lord GOD once again youve done a great JOB for making things possible for us, youre the bestest Lordy!!!
