Hi all VJ members,

I am planning to send out my I-485 package this coming Friday. Before I send it out, can VJ friends double check for me and see if I got everything ready!!! I do not want to miss out anything!!! PLEASEEEEEE~~

I am desperate and do not want to screw up anything!!! Please feel free to add any comments or suggestion!!!

Questions:

1) Do I need to take 6 passport photos since I am filing 3 different forms?? or just 2 is enough?

2) Should I use many paper clips to separate all forms or 1 giant clip for the whole package?

3) I am hoping to go to my brother's wedding on Nov 17th, do you think I will have a chance of getting the AP approved before that date? I put the date on the application already.

4) On my I-131 application, Part 2 Application Type, is it I should check box "d" - I am applying for an advance parole document to allow me to return to the US after temporary foreign travel.

5) On my I-485 application, Part 2 Application Type, is it I should check box "h", - Other basis of eligibility. Reason is: Marriage to a US citizen.

My background: First arrived US in August 2002 with F-1 student visa, met my current US citizen husband in college, finished college in Dec 2005, got an EAD and started my OPT in 2006. After my OPT card expired, I went back to school in 2007. I finished a one-year program, applied for EAD again and started my OPT in 2008. Now I am in OPT (expiring Jan 2009) . I just got married this month with my husband (we have been going out for 5 years). Now I am applying AOS, a new EAD, and AP (hoping to travel ending of November since my brother is getting married)

Questions:

1) Do I need to take 6 passport photos since I am filing 3 different forms?? or just 2 is enough? You need 6 photos. 2 for each form. Each application must stand alone.

2) Should I use many paper clips to separate all forms or 1 giant clip for the whole package? I used a paperclip to separate each packet. One for the AOS application and supporting documents. One for the EAD application and supporting documents. And one for the AP and supporting documents.

Yes. That's what I chose also. I believe that's correct.

5) On my I-485 application, Part 2 Application Type, is it I should check box "h", - Other basis of eligibility. Reason is: Marriage to a US citizen. I chose <c> Entered on a K1 and married..... Since your case is different, I guess you have to choose other basis.

My background: First arrived US in August 2002 with F-1 student visa, met my current US citizen husband in college, finished college in Dec 2005, got an EAD and started my OPT in 2006.
