HAng tough sister Shon

alot of amazing treatment options, mom went through 5 hours of treatment yesterday. same old nasty chemo drugs, but alot of conjuctive therapies, wbc boosters andanti nausea meds. They even told us that she has 50 percent full recovery with 80 percent chance of total remission

On the lighter side here is some fyis(shortcuts) for those of us who have to feed hungry Pakistani husbands

mine does not like Mexican food :lol:

Mission fresh tortilla shells makes good roti

Pita bread=naan

bismanti(pakistani) long grain rice, buy 20lb bag will last awhile (if you are not in the city often) add cumin seed add frozen peas baby carrots while cooking . Sticky rice is a big no no!!!!!

buy a sloted lid pasta pan

buy a large deep skillet

famous daves devil spit makes a nice add to skillet sauce or for grilling

sirloin is the choice cut of beeffor grilling(tender yet no visible fat)

Shan curry powder mix, makes a nice gravy is inexpensive and lasts awhile (keep a few boxes on hand, follow dirctions on the back)

buy large jar of minced garlic, generic brand

cajun trail mix large bag on hand

Shan nirahi curry mix feeds a big crowd a yummy meal esp if using lamb or goat

roma tomatoes make a nice additive(cooks up well) to keema (ground beef) and all other dishes

keep about 10 onions on hand add to every thing

cilantro and fresh ginger root make a nice side or garnishment (as does lemon and lime)

add a fresh chili pepper to everything

keep plain yogart on hand

keep plenty of oil on hand (canola is fine)

keep fresh butter on hand

boneless skilnless chicken breast is a must for quick fix meal

frozen mixed combinations of vegetbles make a nice quick add to the chicken etc

okra add plenty of onions and stew beef

chop that meat up in small pieces for skillet meals, easy to do if meat is still frozen

sautee meat in spices onions and garlic then add everything else

small zuchina and or summer squash cut and throw into a meal

left over keema makes a nice lasagna(add some toamto sauce)

add frozen spinach to lasagna

apples and bananas are a must

red label loos tea, green tea, and plain old lipton tea.. tea tea tea, keep plenty of milk and sugar on hand as well as honey

Do you or anyone know that if I went back and stayed there-would that become an issue in the process?

Do as follow

1) Let the interview date be announced first.

2) Come to Pakistan

3) If interview date is after than 7 months then you can stay here upto the maximum of 7 months

4) Else If interview date is within 7 months then you can stay here till the time of interview

I feel, It is a good situation to reply "in USA" if during interview CO ask where is Saeedeh at the moment?

and to justify the reply you have to be in USA!

has interview date arrived?

-Dude

i still remeber that a guy was in trouble when they found that his wife was with him for 7 months and 3 weeks. Thus raised the domicile concern!

she can do it! as long as she maintains her apartment, bills and job.

since she wont be able to keep her job. she needs to have a co sponser.

the bottomline is it does create problems.

DOS said..

our K-3 was DELETED. which we half ways knew that. its fizzled and dead.

but now I am being lead to belive that we started the BS all over. Since Feb 21.

Javed is gonna be pizzzed. now I gotta think how long it took from filing to the 1st security check

no objections clearance. :( I am not pleased about this.

oh yeah.. the lady that interview me for the Cr1. she said some mess like

" javed wont come on k-3 - you will see "

I am convinced she put some funny ####### in the file. like some " voo- doo " to make it go loopy.

grrrrrrrrrrr

Thanks Shon and Dude for your replies!

I guess we will have an interview date in 2 weeks.

I emailed the consulate and they said they will tell me a date in abt 2 weeks-so ask again then.

Let's see how things go-it's just some days I want to just run back!

I already had a co-sponsor since as soon as I got here I didnt have a job, but when I sent the papers-I got a job so I sent along proof of employment along just as an FYI. So cosponsor already exists.

How are things going with your family Shon?

K Take care guys!

Once again-thanks for the replies:)Really keeps me going....

You are apologizing for what buddy? Who did all domestic chores when you were kid (of course you mother) it not a shameful act if your wife will make food for you perhaps it is wonderful thing. You take care of her and she will take care of you that is the real life is.

Man is a wonderful creature; he sees through the layers of fat (eyes), hears through a bone (ears) and speaks through a lump of flesh (tongue).

hafiz- he called people on here " feminist ". The woman dont have to do all the chores! its 50/50

I refuse to cook, whipe babys booties without help from my husband. I was not placed on this earth to be a slave to no man! I live in my own home alone and I am very self reliant. therefore, my partner, husband and best friend will enhance my life. he will not bring me down. The bible sayes man should submit to the wife and the wife shall submit to the husband. see 50/50!

Thats how it should be! very good you help each other. I come from a military background.

if mom was on a mission - dad would be the mr. mom. if Dad was on a mission then mom would

be the mama. sometimes we had to go live with other family members if both had to go on a mission.

Most of the time my Aunt took care of us when my parents were gone<<< party time >>>.
