Hi,

we recently submitted our AOS paperwork (I came through a K-1 visa to the US and have been legally married since arrival). We sent the AOS/EAD package to the correct address (the Chicago lockbox one) via UPS so it arrived on Wednesday the 6th of August. Today, though, we received an interesting letter from the National Visa Center informing us that the visa petition 'mentioned' in my letter has been approved and forwarded to the London embassy, followed by my case number and our 'priority date' in November.

I'm confused. Should the London embassy have anything further to do with this now that I'm legally married in the US (from an approved K-1 visa)? And why has the National Visa Center gotten involved?

The letter, though it gave the correct dates, looked like an automated, unsigned print-out from the NVC approval phase of the K-1 process.

Have they done what I think and sent my Adjustment of Status application to the London embassy? I'll be calling them on Monday anyway but has anyone else experienced this?

Jackuk.
