How long does it take for visa issuance after additional documents submitted following K1 interview?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has been through the same or similar thing whereby they had their interview but were asked to submit additional documents (in my case I needed to get a joint sponsor since my fiancee hadn't had her paying job long enough to be sole sponsor). How long after the submission of the documents did the visa actually arrive.

The documents got there last Thursday and it is now the following Tuesday. Haven't seen my baby for ages and ages - getting impatient!!!

Thanks

Hiya,

Am not sure how long I had various different problems with mine had to do I-864 got that sorted to find out there were issues with my blood test - long story which included a wrong blood test, formal complaint and letter of apology from the HPA, but additional stuff got there last Tuesday and not heard anything yet, my OH rang DOS yesterday and medical is now logged and in processing. Have read in places on here that its taken upto 2 weeks so hopefully in the next week or so.

Seems you get better information from the DOS than the UK extortion line, so you could ask you SO to give them and ring and find out what the status is

Sorry it doesn't help much - but I know how you feel.

Hope you hear something soon :D

Thanks for the reply - and the sympathy; it is nice to know we're not the only ones going through this suckfest. Incidentally, do you want to know something cool I found out from my lawyer? According to her, in 25 years of working in immigration law, only one couple she has done this for has got divorced. So if we make it through this, pretty much we're good to survive anything. My fiance suggested they should make this an obligation for marriage generally. Probably a sound idea. Weed out the charlatans!

What is the DOS by the way?

PS hope you get yours soon.

DOS = Department of State

Dial 202-663-1225 Then press 1 and then 0 for an operator. Have your case number ready. <-- from the wiki on here

and my thoughts exactly - if we can get through this anything else will seem small in comparison :D
