I too am going that same Embassy with my fiancee. It took us 3 months from the

time NVC said they were forwarding the forms until my fiancee received her first

set of forms from the Chinese Embassy. Hope this helps.

I received letter with a Guangzhou # on march 21 2006,OK now what now how long do we wait to hear from them, is there any way to check on our progress

You're best bet is to go over to http://candleforlove.com/forums

That site is dedicated to those whose SO lives in China. It has been taking about 2-3 months to get a p3 from the date on the NVC letter.

My wife and I are also going through Guangzhou. Do not utilize the email to Guangzhou to check status they haven't got a clue. I sent email and was told they had not recieved approved I-129F yet from the NVC. My wife received packet 3 the next day. I have tried email and even bought the PIN from website it only says the case is active. Recent email asking if Guangzhou had received returned packet 3 from my wail mailed 4/28 they say haven't received it. My wife called the motel who receives mail for the embassy and they received it and was picked up by the embassy on the 29th. What to think??????????

The way to check status is to cal 1-202-663-1225 when prompted push 1 then again 0 when prompted to speak to Visa specialist. Give them case number and they can tell you what is going on. My wife's girlfriend new her interview date after 15 days of Guangzhou receiving her packet 3. They say average time to interview is 182 days we are at 147 days and still waiting for packet 4. Hopefully soon. They say Guangzhou is the busiest Embassy in the world for visa processing. We recieved the packet 3 in 1 1/2 months from approved I-129f leaving the NVC. Good luck!!!!!!!!

Our NVC to Guangzhou was sent 5/01 and we have not heard anything I wonder if they will send back to NVC for IMBRA First, or send RFE and also send out the P#, but Nothing as far as any news,

I sent an email to Hillary Clinton Tonight asking for assistance in finding some answers,

well, being from NY I figured this may help.

Let Ya 'll know when I hear something.

Wow, you got aproval in 10 days? That is amazing! Considering what has happened to other people, I would expect you would have to provide information to meet IMBRA compliance. Since it looks like you already received approval, there would have to be some kind of recall for your case.

I don't know how you got approval without the IMBRA RFE. You must have slipped through.

Good luck on getting more information!

I have a question for you. Why didn't you use I-129F enter US first and wait for green card in US?

Thanks.
