Missed flights/Crazy Layovers anyone?

spent I think 6 hours in Dallas/Ft. Worth airport waiting for tornadic storms to pass over on my way home from LA to Toronto. That's all I've ever seen of Texas.

Spent 7 hours in Calgary airport waiting to be de-iced. There's NOTHING to do in Calgary airport. Nothing.

Spent another 7 hours in Newark airport, same reason. Ice. There is also nothing to do in Newark airport back then. I think they've put in a few more shops since. I hope they've added some comfier chairs too :P

I've also had a 6 hour layover in the Buffalo Greyhound bus terminal, while on a trip from Toronto to Knoxville TN. We were delayed at the border crossing, and missed the connection bus, so had to spend the night in the bus terminal. Not a very nice place to spend the night I must say. Luckily I was on my way to a camping trip, so I had my sleeping bag, small pillow and a bit of food with me. Still, I wouldn't recommend it.
