Anyone re-file for I-485

Hello all,

Has anyone re-filed for I-485 (AOS) after being denied?

Reason for denial is not showing up for interview but we never got the notice.....

PLEASE PLEASE shed some light on this for me....my wife is already in illegal status.

You need to act swiftly - it would probably be a good idea to find a good immigration lawyer.

If you provide some more specific details such as dates, date of interview that you missed, date of denial then others on this forum may be able to offer some input.

Thanks Barbarella...here's some more info:

485 filed - October 2007

1st interview - Feb 11, 2007 (decision to be mailed, DAO was not sure about medical)

waited.....

June 6th - received letter that new medical needs to be done and appear for interview on May 30th !!!!!

June 7th - received denial notice (did not say anything about motion or re-file)

After that:

contacted 2 senators, 1 congressman - no help

sent letter to USCIS, Newark NJ on June 10th - no response

dropped in MTR (reopen) in person on July 1st (within the 30 day period).

Now if MTR is pending...can I still re-file my 485 case?

ANy good lawyers in the Northern NJ or NY area?
