In fact, I just looked into adoption of a mustang, since I am looking to buy a horse anyway.

Well, I can see why these facilities are too full.

These horses are sold wild. You have to prove that you have a six foot high coral to keep them. You have to show up to pick them up with a stock-type trailer, not a regular horse trailer. That's safety, great, but it disqualifies most potential adopters - you have to own a ranch to be able to adopt a mustang.

Some of them spent as long as four years in the hold up - technically, a prison. They have their feet overgrown from being unable to run in the wild and of course, nobody dared to trim them. I wonder if their minds are fried as well.

Despite all these understandable difficulties - I do not understand why pictures taken are so poor and why the horse's height is not even approximated. How the hell I am supposed to know if this particular horse is physically fit for the job I have in mind????
