Will we get the visa soon?

My husband had his interview last week and was told the embassy never received the marriage certificate...(although I submitted it to NVC). The consular officer said she approved him for his interview but gave him a blue sheet to bring in the marriage certificate. He submitted it today. How long should it take to get his visa?

Well when he gave the marriage certificate they should of kept his passport and he should have been given a date to go back for result. If they did not put him on AP he will get his visa on that day. My brother in-law needed Tax papers and so did I and was given Blue sheet. He got his visa and I was put on AP. My guess is because of my name. So yeahh I’m on for a long wait… well may Allah help you and keep us informed.

The first thing to understand is that AP is given for different reasons. The one that is considered the "best" reason, is the one for missing documents. This seems to be your reason, so you should feel better about this.

Ok, after they recieve the marriage certificate, they will then have all the necessary paperwork and will run a security check on your husband
