hi i think this is a stupid question but oh well just curious,

hi there guyz, can you bring dried fish like tuYo? in your baggage? going to US? ty

Even if can....Will you be allowed to cook it in the house? :crying:

Use electric skillet and fix it outside the house. That's what I do whenever I want to fix something that will surely stink the house. Just be aware that the neighbors may call the city health department and report stinky odor coming from your house to their houses. :D

Yeap, RULE #1 in my house is NO DRIED FISH to be cooked inside :D. No cooking unless you go outside and chase other people away

I worked at comcast and I went to a vietamesses (sp) house, he had like a small cover and had a full stove on the outside of his kitchen so he could cook the fish :) I thought that was great, He even said it smells up the house

that is why he put the a second stove on the outside :)

I've been a commercial fisherman and thought I was tough and could handle BAD odors.

Wrong! When my wife started frying daing I HAD to bail out.

New rule! No cooking daing in the house. Mabango+++++++++.

We had a dirty kitchen in the Philippines, my fiance and house-girl would cook till their heart's delight but the smell still come through to the main house.

During this time, I took the opportunity to teach her to cook a western menu, i.e. pot roast, beef stew, oven baked and roasted chicken, pasta sauce...

When she arrived here, we basically don't fry anything, so we don't eat much filipino food  except for a soup base menu.

However, there is a can of Bangus in the pantry, since March, that I know she is drooling to have but I keep reminding her that it's just a tease hahahaha

dang duce! your repressing her Pinoy heritage!!!! j/k I dunno bout yall but after years of living in Southeast Asia I for myself prefer the food above all others...especially and no disrespect to my wife and all the Pinoys in this forum but the food from West Sumatra Indonesia...Padang to be exact according to my pallette is the best!!! That being said I also really love my wifes cooking. We have a dirty kitchen at our house in the phils as well and I must say the only time the smell infiltrates the rest of the house is when my mom n law makes bagoong.....but its worth it cuz she makes some killer bagoong!!! Has anyone attempted to build a "dirty kitchen" at there homes in the States...(depending on how long we stay in the States I was considering building one), i want to re-create a lil asian paradise in the back yard so might as well include a dirty kitchen...hehehehe. anyone done that or do they just stick to the electric skillets???
