Interview Wait Times in Montreal?

Does anyone have any idea about how long the wait for an interview in Montreal tends to be currently? All of the final paperwork that the Embassy sent was submitted about 2 months ago, the physical is done and and now it's just a matter of the interview.

If it's any help to others, we've been waiting for almost a year total now (CIS and NVC took just over 8 months to finish and clear us and now it's been 2 months since we sent in the Embassy's paperwork).

Thanks!

Hi Dave :)

It varies.

A wonderful member of ours has created a spreadsheet of all the people who have gotten an interview and who are still currently waiting

I know in our case, we got our NOA2 on March 3rd. On May 14th I found out about my June 20th interview by calling DoS.

My case wasn't received at Montreal until April 14th (I sent it off on April 1st) so they are booking about 2 months in advance (or so it seems)

You should have yours pretty soon I'd imagine.

Best of luck! :star:

Hey!

Yup, I'll be calling on Tuesday!

There is a similar forum where people have talked about waiting for interviews in MTL. A bunch of them received interview dates on May 14th. Looks like they give dates in batches. Buttt who knows.

Check it out here.

Hi,

I entered the Montreal waiting list on May 2nd, which means that our packet three qualified for the interview (no RFE's). I had called the DOS on June 4th, and there was no interview date booked...called back on Friday, the 6th et voila! My interview is set for June 17th!

If you take a look at our timeline, you'll see that we've been waiting for almost 400 days. It's been a brutal, frustrating year+, and I can't wait for this part to be over so I can go home!

Don't give up hope, because sometimes, when you're awake and alone at 3:00 a.m, hope is the one thing that keeps you sane.

That's scary to think that your interview was booked 11 days after you called. That doesn't leave a whole lot of time for the USC to get a plane ticket or make plans to attend the interview :(

We sent ours right around the same time as you guys, and are really hoping that they schedule us between July 7th and 22nd, since I'll be in Canada then...

Are you Aaron and Carrie? If you are, thanks for sending Liz your information...it helps the rest of us out a lot.

carr_122 when did you send in your original package?

There is always hope and never lose that. I only had a couple of weeks until interview as well, I think maybe they have some people who cancel and they send out letters to fill it all up, or maybe it is where you live the closer you are to Montreal the less time they give you compared to those who say live in Nova Scotia, but I have no real idea, either way I am sure you will hear something soon for those waiting. Hopefully next week a bunch more interviews will be scheduled.

Thanks to all who replied. I will call on Monday and see if I can find out anything. This has been a very slow, frustrating experience and you're right, hope is the only thing that keeps you sane in these suituations.

Sure wish we would have found this site sooner!

hmmm...this is the first time I ever got a message saying all specialists were busy, and it hung up on me. I called back and the wait is 5 minutes...which is easier said then done while watching a 10 month old!!
