Yah, pink slip after one week

As some of you guys know, my fiance got a green/blue slip last week. They asked for a timeline relationship, and proof of purchase for airplane tickets. My fiance gave them the timeline relationship at the interview (so as you can see, they already prepared the green slip before the interview took place). Well, I emailed to my fiance the proof of purchase for those tickets, as well as provide them another copy of timeline relationship. She turned it in, and after wait for 3 hours she received a pink slip.

Going way back 1 month before the interview, I decided to hire Marc Ellis just to make sure everything is on the right track. We found out that the Police Certificate for my fiance wasn't a right one (this was one week before the interview). And it cost us $200 to obtain another copy in that one week.

Before the interview, Mr. Ellis wrote a cover letter that goes on top of all the required documents (I doubt that the people work at the consulate even bother to look at what he wrote). And so she got a green slip.

After received the green slip, Mr. Ellis emailed the consulate and pointed to them that my fiance already turned in a timeline relationship at the interview. He also told the consulate that my fiance will turn in the rest of the requirement documents. (So, i'm not sure if he has influence toward the consulate, or my case is just straight simple).

Well, that's about it. I couldn't say how much of influence from Mr. Ellis has toward the consulate, but just to feel assure of me not being there with my fiance during the interview, I think it was a best choice for me to hire him. If you're uncomfortable, or have doubts in mind, I'd suggest go give Mr. Ellis a visit.

A few notes from me for people just start doing this process (the rest can be found somewhere in this forum) :)

1. keep the purchase record of your airplane ticket ( try to buy a ticket with your CC so you'd have some type of paper trail). If you pay with cash then.....

2. Make sure you're fiance/wife obtain the right Police Certificate.

3. Have a timline relationship notarized by the time the interview take place.

That's about it, i can think of, pretty sure that you're going to provide them emails, chat logs, pictures but they hardly look at them at all. Good luck to all.

Yes, congratulations! That must be a load off. And yes, you are right to wonder if they read Marc Ellis's cover letter. The intake/screening lady in our case refused to turn that in to the CO, saying that wasn't on the Packet 4 list, so we KNOW ours didn't get read.
