From Obama's health care plan FAQ's:

Q. How will we pay for the Obama plan?

A. The Obama plan will realize tremendous savings within the health care system to help

finance the plan. The additional revenue needed to fund the up-front investments in

technology and to help people who cannot afford health insurance is more than covered

by allowing the Bush tax cuts to expire for people making more than $250,000 per year,

as they are scheduled to do.

That last sentence is a lie:

The Bush tax cuts are not just for people making more than $250,000 per year - they

affect everyone across the board.

If Obama wants to roll back the tax cuts *only* for people making more than $250,000,

fair enough, but to do that, Obama needs to come up with new tax legislation, which will

keep the Bush tax cuts in place for people making less than $250,000 and let them expire

for those who make more.

Unfortunately, that's not something that's "scheduled" to happen.

Discuss.

Yes, he intends to keep the tax cuts for those who make less than a quarter-mill and roll them back for those who make more. The legislative logistics of how that's accomplished is really not the point  We will have a D house and Senate in the fall and they will work with the D president to make it happen.

No, he emphasized "as they are scheduled to do" which means he intends to do nothing

and just let them expire. When the tax cuts expire, they expire for everyone.

There's no new legislation to support your statement.
