Does anyone here asked for a refund for their PAG-IBIG contributions? If yes, what visa did you show them?

What are the requirements?

Thanks.

funny thing you asked that. that was the same question i posed when we were collating the documents i would be leaving my staff...unfortunately, there is no such a thing as contribution withdrawal from the SSS, i checked it from their website before and found nothing of the sort. i'm ok with that, as long as it helps countless of retirees in the country...my parents are getting their pensions currently...

thanks :). i just want to know if we can also get from SSS so I can just ask my brother to take care for me the paperworks both for Pag-Ibig and SSS.do you know if we are still entitled to SSS pension someday? well, if not, i'll just consider it my little contribution to our retirees back home :).

I got my pag-ibig contribution a week before my departure. One of my former staff processed it after i went to the pag-ibig office 2 weeks before my departure and issued a power of attorney for the receipt of my check since i was already in the province by then and won't get back to manila till the day before my departure which was a sunday. anyway, i filled up a form (something about withdrawal providence whatever lol) and presented my visa and an identification card. it usually takes 2-4 weeks processing but if you have a company representative it would hasten the process. had my check deposited in my account and just left my atm to my mother.

Thanks for the replies everyone.

Sad to say, PAG-IBIG will not refund K-1 or K-3 non-immigrant visa holders. They need a Greencard or an immigrant visa (like CR or IR) to process it. So meaning - we need to adjust status first before anybody (with SPA) back home can process it for us. Also, it would mean another expense (about $20-25.00), since they will need a notarized or authenticated copy of our Greencard by the Philippine Consular office in the US.

May I asked...what visa did you show them? This is confusing..I am on K-3, and they denied my refund application.

Here's an excerpt from their email to me.

....Makati II Branch reiterated that K-3 (spousal visa) or K-1 (fiancee visa) is not being accepted as alternative requirements in the claim of contribution. As per telephone conversation with Ms. ---- ----- of Claims Division, you have to present a Permanent Resident Card or Immigrant Visa for them to process your application.

Hence, you may only apply for the Provident Benefits Claim upon your status has been adjusted to Legal Permanent Resident in Florida, USA.

Filed: K-1 Visa Country: Philippines
Timeline

I left with a K1 visa and just got my citizenship this year. I would like to know if you guys know the latest link or information on how to process the refund. I am planning to visit the Philippines next month. Any information would be helpful. I sent an inquiry through their support email too. Hopefully, you guys can help me faster. Oh, finally, what is your experience on time frame to get it all processed and received check.

I appreciate the replies! Thank you.
