Still working up the nerve. My husband ate one for me so I could see him do it. After we bought it he realized he had never had one sober during daylight hours. It took a little encouragement from me for him to eat it again

i like balut when i was a kid (actually i even request for the biggest sisiw to the manong balut) but it started grossing me out when i reached highschool lol! My husband won't even wanna try it even he was drunk lolz

It's one of the food I miss from the Philippines . I could eat only about 3 in a row coz I'm worried of its high cholesterol :)

Anywho.. Last September 2007, i had a very bad BALUT experience... I ate balut and that was the first time i developed allergy with eggs,... i was brought to the Hospital, because i had a hard time breathing.. i was flushing and became unconscious. The doctor told me that i am allergic with the food that i ate.. so from then on, i can't eat Balut, eggs, and chicken,..and because of that, St. Lukes did not give me a shot of MMR cuz it's contraindicated to those who have hypersensitivity with eggs..

I'm actually very sad cuz i can't eat Balut anymore...

I asked my Ricky to ate one before,,, well he didn't really eat it, just sipped the liquid and I'm sure he wanted to throw up right after. I have also made him try dinuguan, adidas (chiken feet) and isaw (chicken intestine)

You probably did see me. We were there April 29th do redo the finger scanning. I was the really young looking American Did you notice it was me when you were there? Or did you notice after the fact? You should have said hi

I can usually eat almost anything but when my wife mentions balut, I feel sick. I've seen the pics with some of the pre-hatched chicks with feathers. Is that how they really look? This is a pre-hatched chicken with all its insides still intact? Whew,,even typing this makes me quesy.

I didn't look at it too much, I was afraid I would back out, but I didn't taste any feathers. I took the first bite and was like "wow this is actually good" and my fiancée's family asked if I was like it. They were surprised when I said yes.

Love it I eat more though of the other kind, Balut Penoy. Joe hasn't tasted it yet. When we go back I will try to let him try it
