light side:

are you on a detective hunt shape? lol

Not so much , but will make sure i'll do something about this. grrr!! hehe.712629qotoc598bx.gif

Shape, I'm an IT/network professional for the last 2 decades, if that means anything. From the original post you gave us, Booyah was right. The email originally came from Manila, Philippines from the ISP Booyah mentioned.

There's no more info after that. Just that who ever sent that email did it in the Manila area. Probably an internet cafe. You could probably get more info from that ISP company in Manila if you really want to pursue this.

Hope that helps.

hi shape,

if you weren't asking, I worked in Tri-isys before for 3 years. For you to track the sender , you need to get the timestamp of the email first and from there ull be able to get the sender's phone number then you can easily track the location from the phone num :) . I just contacted one of my colleagues from there and he said that you need to go through NBI or CIDG before they give any information of the user because its against the law to disclose any information. Another thing is , you need to provide more emails header from the sender for a strong evidence.

Is this something serious? Are you getting any threats?

I told myself awhile ago that i'll just post this after my siesta but i can't sleep knowing that i think i can help you lol :D .

I hope this thing helps and o well ill go back to bed now and take a nap :P

Hey Pink,

Thank you so much for the infos. Before it was only at offline messages at YM, and since this person sent emails already , i think few emails be enough already to track this.

at least now you gave me the idea on the steps on how am i going to track this person.

wow!! Now i feel relieved. This is so much a big help from you and all of you guys..

I'm not sure how accurate is this but this is the longitude/latitude of that IP address

wow, thanks for the Map.

The map is not accurate but it gives you a general idea. At least you know its not someone in Cebu or Mindanao, or US. *wink* LOL

Also that IP address is most likely being used by more than one computers. Most internet cafes in Manila share just ONE IP address.

Pink or someone in Tri-Isys can probably help you narrow it down. You need "connection" in Tri-Isys. LOL

Good luck!!

That address is Tri-Isys "registered" address. Anyone can register an IP address or domain to anyone.

If you go there, you'll probably find Pink's old friends. :-)

It is not where that IP address came from. Sorry... I have a bad habit of correcting people. :innocent:

hi shape,

the address that mawilson gave is the address of tri-isys. i remember wen i was still working there, clients will get mad caz they think the company is hacking their accounts lol :bonk::lol: . Ofcourse the IP address that will appear is the IP that is coming from the company because the hacker is using the company's internet connection service :bonk: but like what av said on my first post you need to gather some emails that came from that sender for strong evidence then email the company about your problem (well that's the proper and legal way to find out not to mention its also the long way lol).

but don't worry ill ask again my contacts if we can do it in a shorcut thing hehe (shhh! if you know what am tryin to say here lol). i hope i can see you in the chatroom so we can talk about this thing.
