Hi Gaye, thanks for the links. I will check it. I asked Ryan kung uso ang wedding favors sa ila, he said, dili daw kaayo. I really planned diri na lang ko palit mga native stuffs. Also, I don't think big among wedding because we will only have his close friends and family. I told him that I want a pastor/priest to ordain our marriage. Ryan is not Catholic so I assume it's a pastor and it does not necessarily have to be inside a church. I really prefer a small and simple wedding para walay daghan gasto, maluoy na ko sa akong bana :D

About the hotel, naa ko friend kapuy-an sa Manila for the whole week. But I plan nga mag hotel ko a day before sa interview kanang walking distance lang from USEM.

They have non-denominational interfaith ministers man. KOREK jud kaayo, luoy na bitaw ato partners oi, especially sa ako na case na buy 1 take 3... hayy kani lagi sayo nag-igat-igat, di napandol pud ug sayo... may nalang sa ako ra jud naliwat akong mga anak :star:

I also want an outdoor wedding, a small intimate outdoor ceremony and a party/picnic like reception.... my wedding budget is really really small talaga. Ricky used to say it can't be but I know it can, i've read up about brides who had wonderful wedding in the budget i have in mind. Kaya I know it is possible kahit na ba we will end up doing the elopement package.

BTW, one vj member also suggested hitting Divisoria sa manila for wedding stuffs: giveaways, wedding gowns, tela for the gowns, as in super barato jud daw and there is a wide array of choices. You might want to check it out with your friend when you go there.

Kalingaw ba nimo Gaye oi :) TY about Divisoria, I will try. Also, gai ko tips about sa budget beh :D

You can check estimate wedding cost sa place ni Ryan by typing his postal code here: http://www.costofwedding.com/

Then you can check how some real brides in the US actually spent on their own wedding: What's your overall budget?

What is/was the budget for your wedding?

Tapos, you can help Ryan check for possible location by surfing wedding venues on the net na pwede nya icheck pud didto.

These are our possible ceremony and reception locations, ang rental price ok ra jud kaayo (there's a $45 half day or tong biger place nila na $120per hour sa lake wheeler) compared to commercial wedding venues (Ricky inquired with one place and the price they quoted was $1000 for ceremony and reception and rehersal venue, wa pa labot chairs and tables and food ana ha, OK RA SILA?? WA SILA KUYAPI??!!! ): http://public.fotki.com/Scars19/attempts_a...ler-raleigh-nc/

http://www.iloveinns.com/innlink.php?innID...st&state=NC (check the rate for elopment package :innocent: )

nagapangita pa mi dugang na possible sites na mura lang... preferably in the mountains or near a body of water. and some of the wedding stuffs we will do on our own... ang makadako man sa budget jud ang number of guest and your wedding gown + etc. but if you will buy all your bridal stuffs here, mas makamura especially if dili pud ka adto sa established na na bridal shops kay makahubak gyapon ila prices...

my aunt had her wedding gown made for her for less than 10,000 sa davao city. She had her christian wedding with her husband's family(filipino migrants) sa Denmark and everybody commented on how beautiful the gown was.. I will try to beat that price since i will be having a very small and informal wedding dapat less than 5000K ra gani ako budget for gown.... if you know someone na hawod magtahi probably your favorited seamstress/dressmaker then go for it,.. wala sa presyo ang beauty ng gown or any damit, nasa nagdadala. (yan ang motto ng mga nagkukuripot na gaya ko) :star:

Our papers just reached USEM March 28 and we will be calling for interview appointment Monday or Tuesday next week. We will probably be asked to choose dates on months of May or June and i am kinda leaning towards May schedule. I just want to know if there are others who have May interview schedule already. I hope we could keep each other posted.

May God be our constant guide. (F)

Sandra had her medical and must return for sputum testing. So she will not be having her interview on May 12th. She will not get the results back for 4-8 weeks. I pray it comes back negative and she can have an interview in June or July.

Congrats for frank & rhoge who passed the medical... but I hope we could offer a prayer for mogdog's wife who needs to undergo sputum exam, another big reason why early medical is advisable. (if only we could afford to go for early medical :( )

Mogdog, I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. Just stay strong and have faith that everything will turn out perfect in the end. God be your guide and your strength. (F)

Sandra had her medical and must return for sputum testing. So she will not be having her interview on May 12th. She will not get the results back for 4-8 weeks. I pray it comes back negative and she can have an interview in June or July.

to everyone: Pls include Sandra & Matthew (mogdog) in your prayers, that Sandra's sputum result will be negative and that this will not cause them another long delay in being together... we all know how painful this separation with our love is and so my heart breaks when a couple going through the same process faces more bumps along the way. :(

I wish and pray that everything will be ok with mogdog soon. and I wish and pray that no one else will face the same in our group. I am keeping everyone in my prayers.hug2a.gif

we are back to 33 :(

Gaye, thank you very much sa help and support :D Sakto gyud ka about sa gown :D I also want mine to be simple, don't like so many beads. Morag naay barato diri Cebu akong nadunggan. Visit lang ko puhon after the interview, kay focus sa ko sa interview karon :D
