the DS-156 that my fiancé received was in paper form and so poorly-copied that a few of the questions were cropped right off. i told him i'd look on the embassy website to see if he could download a new one and realised that this is the form that SHOULD be filled-out online (to generate a barcode), however there was NO mention of it in his packet about doing so.

now, i've not see the packet at all and he may have missed it, but i wouldn't think so. i am assuming that this form should indeed be filled-out online and we should just replace the shoddy paper ones with new printouts.

would this be the right way to go? why would the embassy not even mention the online version in their instructions, if the barcode is essential for a speedy case?

i dont know about embassy in uk but at least for me in mexico´s consulate i downloaded all the forms and that is what i used with no problem at all, bar code didnt make a difference ok

09-14-2010 Boston's biggest ceremony of naturalization, I'm a citizen now! :)
