USEM says you can't request pick up

My fiancee had her interview today, we drafted a request to pick up the visa but she was told they deliver only and you cannot get it delivered. Since when did this change?

It's a case to case basis... While some CO will allow you to pick-up the visa, the majority of them won't. Anyway, here's hoping that your fiancee will receive her visa soon!

With all the changes and frenzy to part folks with their money, I wouldn't be surprised if visa pick-up becomes a priviledge that is rarely granted. Hopefully, there will continue to be some COs that permit good folks to pick up their visa. We shall see.

Cheers...

Hmmm not really.... I have read on the other website that they were able to pick up the visa without making a request and according to him...the key is to ask the consul nicely :D and some other couples did the same too.

But still, the majority of the COs won't allow you to pick up the visa regardless of how nicely you ask. Like I said, it is case to case basis... You can try but don't always count on it that your request will be granted. Do it like you're just trying your luck... that way, no frustrations and disappointments.

I had the same case and had my request for visa pick up denied. The consul says their getting strict about that. I believe its a case to case basis...some were allowed and most of the ones allowed lived in the province or was with their USC fiancees. And with the fee increase, well, i think its just worth our 250 pesos to have them deliver it. As of this moment, im still waiting for my visa to be delivered. Hope you get yours soon too!:thumbs::dance:

2-0. In favor of the boys.
