I too got my interview letter!

congrats

what are the instructions given in the interview letter. there is a confusion whether we have to once again submit the original civil doucment at VFS even though we have submitted to NVC. Does the interview letter says anything about that. is the interview letter sent from NVC or from the chennai consulate. Does it says anything about any fee to be paid by us.My case was completed on April 8th. anitcipating an interview by june last week.

1. Need to submit any orginals which was not submited to NVC

2. Fees of 365/- to be paid to VFS prior to interview.

3. Letter send from US (NVC), but routed via a agency in Chennai.

On the interview letter; its states in document status for Financial evidence - yes/document complete/reviewed, Does this mean to submit orginals at interview? ..because for police certificates i had submited notorised docs and the status is same as above for which i have to carry orginals any way to consulate. For the ones i had submitted orginals ex: birth certificate - the status is 'Orginal document received'. Pls clarify if anybody as any idea. THX.

Interview on May 14th at 7:30. I have submitted all the originals to the NVC. Can somebody guide me thru the next steps that have to be completed. Thanks in advance

Complete medicals

Keep any recent tax documents of sponser ready 4 interview.

In my interview letter also it is given

Financial evidence : yes/document complete/reviewed,

DS230 part I : yes/ document complete/reviewed

so i think it is not necessary to submit these at interview.

Its better to have a copy of your spouse's 2007 income tax evidence.......

Does chennai consulate allow us to collect passports over the counter (same day or next day) after interview? any experience anyone? Thx.

Usually you can collect the passport next day at the VFS office, not same day and not at the Consulate.

Based on Chennai US consulate appointment schedule, I see a CR1 interview scheduled at 7th May... looking at the case number it looks like it came to NVC on March 20th... that looks pretty quick... If this is any of you.. can you please let me know.. I am curious if there is a secret behind this fast approval

Dunhill you got me wrong.. I am trying to find out. who is the lucky one.. whose interview in chennai consulate is on 7th May.. while their case entered NVC on March 20th.. I mean NVC process (CR1) is really quick for this person...
