Hey everyone, I have ANOTHER question. Just to fill everyone in, we sent the I-129f petition

packet to USCIS in California on November 1st and received the NOA1 on the November

8th, I believe. Anyways, we're applying for the K-1 Visa and have been waiting about 4 1/2 months.

Any November filers received their NOA2's yet?

Okay here's my question...

About how long is the process from when the USCIS sends your petition packet to the embassy

to the time the embassy receives it and schedules your interview, approves/denies it? I understand people

have to wait for it to arrive at the embassy, and then wait for it to sit at the embassy

for awhile? Then we have to wait for an interview to nbe scheduled (in the meantime we should be collecting

police papers/hospital papers). I have heard it can take 2-3-4 months from the time the documents are sent from USCIS to the time

the visa is denied. Is that true? I realize all cases vary, but I am just

trying to find out the AVERAGE time. I first heard that the ENTIRE process takes 5-6 months from the time you send the I-129f petition packet

to the USCIS to the time your visa is either APPROVED or denied, it takes 5-6 months, but now Im thinking it takes about 8 months to one year

for the ENTIRE process to be finished, from sending to the USCIS to getting visa approved or denied.

Thanks a lot everyone! I hope this jumbled collection of words in which Ive tried to formulate into a question makes sense!

Thanks again!

littleasianman7,

Read this thread, http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...opic=78&hl=

There are 164 pages so i suggest starting from the page 164 and work your way back to get the most current info.

In my case, it will be almost 11 months from time of petition submission to interview date, I did have a delay of approximately one month for an RFE then a NOID (Notice of Intent to Deny). The RFE was my mistake but the NOID was them asking for paperwork that HAD already been submitted.

Thanks a lot for response. Yea everyone sends me that link, but it NEVER works for me. It always says the archive is offline at the moment, but for me the archive seems to be offline everytime I try. Also when I try to login it just doesnt work.
