What if you met more than 2 yrs ago?

hey guys

i met my fiancee about 2 and a half yrs ago....is that acceptable?

i know that the requirement is 2 yrs...but wat if its only a little bit more? will they accept it ?

I met my fiance as a pre-teen. We have been together now for 3 and 1/2 years now I am currently going through the first step of my K1 visa, and have a lawyer representing me. As long as you have proof(ie. plane ticket stubs, pics and etc...of you and your fiancee together) and that you have at seen(/met) each other within the 2 and 1/2 years you have mentioned when you file for your K1 petition then things should be fine. Hope this helps.

It is a meeting within the past 2 years. It doesn't matter how long you have known each other.

Sorry my bad, I should have phrased it differently... I meant As long as you have met/been together in within the 2 years time frame things should be fine. It also doesn't hurt to state that you have known each other longer if you can provide proof for it as well. my apologies.

why not seeing each other again ? can't do any bad anyway !

I know that I could not go that long without seeing my fiance... Im use to visiting him(or him visiting me) every four months or so. Its hard with him being in school and with both of us working as well. Every scenario is different, we can just hope for the best! Hopefully everything will go well for you salman1:) Best of luck to you.
