I think she will stay in all the way to the convention regardless of the delegate count. Maybe she is hoping Obama gets struck by lightning or something but I don't see her quiting.

...or she's hoping that with enough hammering of going negative will start to stick on Obama. It's pie-in-the-sky hope but that's all she's got.

Steven, I repeat $35M - most of which was after Super Tuesday! That is no chump change. Obviously people believe in her. Obama is not winning by a landslide anywhere. He's ahead, yes, but now it's time to put some action into his sermons & he is choking.

For a woman who is supposedly a huge ######, her negativity campaign is suprisingly lacking in content. Surely, if she is so good at slinging ####, in fact, if that's all she's good at, why so little and why is it so sweet smelling? As negative campaigns go, statements like, he's not a muslim, really, there's nothing to that rumour...as far as I know...is pretty unconvincing. I must be missing the really toothy nasty comments. Please, let me know about them, I could use a laugh.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

metta, will you concede that Hillary should drop out of the race if she loses Texas tomorrow?

if she loses both O and T by big margins, then it might well be over. But if she wins Ohio and Rhode island, I think she will go ahead. Afterall, Penn is close in profile to Ohio.

Also, now that Obama has been propelled to the front runner status by the media, he is now getting a lot more scrutiny.

For a guy with micro thin resume, he seems to have accumulated impressive number of skeletons

Also, talking about popular democracy, for all the sullying and hissing and cussing on Hillary, American people seem not to want her to go away.

The rules of the game are to reach 2025. Nothing more nothing less. The last time I checked neither of them has.

Ok., that's my take.

Bill Clinton was an extremely popular President among Democrats and in the context of that schmuck in the WH now, he conveys to some, a sense of wishing for those days to come back again. You can't deny that Hillary has ridden on the coat tails of Bill's legacy so to make her out to be some kind of a legend in her own right is laughable. Hillary is not Bill, regardless of how much you wish it were so.

Sure she has a lot of people that like her. And those people are donating. It's just there are not enough of them to overcome Obama. The proof is in the delegate count. The math is very much against her right now.

Raising money alone isn't an indication of an upswing of support. Look at the polls. I understand the desire to want her to succeed, but at what point are you going to concede she lost? If she loses Texas tomorrow and only wins by narrow margin in Ohio, I hope you'll concede that she isn't going to win the nomination. At least not through conventional means.

This is true. In the end, the delegate count is all that matters.

Obama has a non-trivial lead in pledged delegates. Hillary can reduce that lead tomorrow, but the question is will she reduce it by enough to matter?

A few short weeks ago, she was what, 20 points ahead in both states?

And now we're talking about ties to single-digit margins. Hillary must make a dent in the delegate lead or all is lost.

FWIW, I think she can do it. I wish it weren't so.

Man is made by his belief. As he believes, so he is.

If things shake out like the polls are saying then the answer is no. Polls have been wrong before but it does not look good for her. Personally I hope she gets just enough to keep her in the race. Obama and Clinton are doing a great job of bashing each other. It keeps McCains hands clean for now.

No, not "over". But Hillary has one last shot of significantly reducing Obama's pledged delegate lead.. and that shot is tomorrow. She needs large margins. I think she can do it.

I'm excited about Ohio, for sure! I know quite a few Cincinnatians voting for her.
