Hello People

Hope this message finds all VJers in the best of health.

I just had an inquiry and was wondering if anyone faced a similar situation.

We are applying for a CR1 via a DCF in 2008.Our I-130 was approved but that was almost 7 weeks back and we still havent recieved our Packet 3!!! Upon contacting the Embassy we were informed that our case is pending the Adam Walsh Protection Act Name Check at the USCIS Office in Athens.

IS this a usualy thing? Why is it taking so long??? Anybody on the same boat? :help:

Yes this is expected, they are doing a background check on the US Citizen who filed the I-130 petition, this is normal.

Is now a US Citizen immigration completed Jan 12, 2012.

Is it normal to take so long? Its been almost 2 months since we had our Petition approved by the Consular Officer, and still we havent recieved Packet 3 !

We arereally starting to panic...... :crying::blink:
