Thanks Kim,

Good to know about the medical screening. I knew about them before even coming here, and I thought the only way for us to get back home would be for Rob to lose weight, good to know there might be a waiver possible.

We're still both trying to lose weight and lord knows there's enough time but a waiver may still be necessary.

Hi everyone, well everything seems to be moving along quite fast. Pkt 3 arrived and all sent off and we had our medicals this past week, so really just waiting for our interview. My fiancé has been here since June so his 3m is up on the 10 sept so flying home... I am really hoping it will only be a few weeks Until i have my visa in hand to join him, as ideally don't want to live on Skype for months... My house sold and I am out by the end of the month. Thanks goodness I have parents to move I. With for as long as it takes, but really I have 15 oct in mind to be leaving here, which since I am just wait ing on interview think that is reasonable.

So yes... All feeling very real and starting to get the courage to say goodbye to my nz life for who k ows how long and ready for our next adventure.

It shouldn't be long before your interview.. Auckland consulate/embassy are pretty efficient and fast!! let us know how your interview goes!!! There are reviews in this thread of past experiences from fellow vjers of the interview that you may like to look back on - As they are quite helpful!! And there are of course reviews for Auckland under the heading "Reviews:Embassy/USCIS & POE" near the top of this page on the links. Wishing you all the best with the interview!!:star:

I felt the interview was so easy, esp after I had worked myself up into a panic.

Good Luck, though you won't need it :)

Hi everyone,

I'm just about to start this process, although I've been living in Australia for a year (oh, the shame! Kidding.)

Does anyone know what would happen if I ended up moving back to NZ from Perth for a couple of months hopefully just in advance of receiving the I-130? I want to head home and visit my parents before moving permanently to the USA (fingers crossed) but guess it may just complicate the process. To make matters more difficult, my partner is in the military so we'll be heading to Europe!

See my timeline for my expedited I-130 application due to military pcs

n-400

Expedited naturalization (under s 319(b) INA) due to military pcs

Anyone who has been to their Auckland Interview recently for K1 - did you just take the letter from employer and minimum 3 payslips (as their information mentions) or did you need to supply tax details also? It looks to me like the present income details are sufficient, but just checking... thanks.

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .

Good to see another Kiwi living in Memphis, TN, district! Are you in TN?

No...but that's where I have to go for biometrics. Either that, or Fort Smith, which is about the same distance from me, here in AR. I was in Nashville for 4.5 months while my husband was in hospital there, but we are home again.

And not to confuse things...lol...I came here from NZ, but am Canadian

I can explain it to you. But I can't understand it for you.

Hi all, just wondering if any of you have had a hard time fitting in like I have? It'll be 3 years in March since I've lived here and I absolutely hate it. I went back home in September for a few weeks and even though it's incredibly expensive, I miss the laid back attitude and the culture. Americans are too brash and rude for me and take everything so seriously. I want to move back as soon as I can but we're having money problems and there are legal issues that might take a while to get through. It's literally one thing after another and I've just about had enough, I miss my family and friends in NZ. This was a very eye-opening experience but I wish I would have moved back home sooner.
