This morning I called up the USEM number (632) 301-2000 to follow-up my packet and still the lady who answered told me to call the USEM call center number which can be accessed only thru PLDT & SMART land lines. It's just frustrating why they pick phone lines we can use. I live in the province & Cebu City with a PLDT line is 85 kilometers away. We have telephone at home and it's sad to know I can't use it to follow-up my case at the embassy. Anyone here knew the explanation why the USEM is picky which phone company can get thru their call center number? :help::(

Hi. I called USEM earlier at 3:40pm (California time) which is 7:40am Manila time. I used a phone card to call them. They answered amd didn't tell me to call the call center number. I think it also depends on the person who answers the phone. Maybe try calling again.

Hello Everyone. Finally go reunited with my fiance and now husband. We are soo happy.... After 2 years since we filed 7/28/07 we received our visa on August 4, 2009... don't give up. if you know USEM is wrong fight for it... We did...

Did you ask for extension 5184 or 5185? Don't even talk to the service operator, ask for one of those extensions.

Instead of getting frustrated calling the USEM call center, why not just request your packet at St. Lukes? They can generate one for you and while you're there, you can also have your early medical done. That would be hitting two birds in one stone. If I were you, I'll save my breath and work things on what's best for me.

Thank you jasman0717 for that info. Finally, I was able to get thru and talked to Grace of USEM. My packet will be forwarded to St. Luke's and I'll just pick it up on the day of my medical exam.

Hi Mae,

Thanks for that piece of advice. I already called up USEM and I was able to talk to Ms. Grace who patiently answered my questions (She told me she's not supposed to answer queries from applicants who don't have their interview yet) and I'm thankful she talked to me :) ...Well my packet will be forwarded to SLEC & I'll just pick it up on the day of my interview.

Hmmmm... you wouldn't want to wait till your interview appointment, would you? Why not just go to St. Lukes ahead of time and while there, have the early medical done? Believe me girl, you wouldn't one to be stressed out as your interview gets closer. You can use the NOA2 or the printout of your appointments in taking early medical...

I'd love to have an early medical done but it's hard for me to get an earlier vacation leave at work . My boss is on leave & I'm the one supervising the office. I can only get a leave for 1 week from the time of my medical appointment till my interview date. Anyway, I hope & pray that everything goes well. God is with us & He'll take care of me.

Ok girl, I understand you. But don't you think at this point in time, you should be thinking about your future with your soon husband and not the work that you will leave behind once you moved here in US?

Oh well... just do whatever suits you. Good luck!
