Translation

I have documents that are sealed by my attorney for the translation of documents. Does it still need to read "I certify that I am competent" or whatever in order to satisfy the US? The attorney has his little seal and stamp.

Any help is greatly appreciated as I don't want to create any undue delays.

From Costa Rica.....Do I need the returned original marriage certificate or will a certified from the attorney who married us work in the meantime?

i had gotten my marriage certificate translated by an official as well and they had a seperate piece of paper stating that they were an official translator of the language and blah blah blah but it didnt say EXACTLY what they had on the guides as to what it "should" say. i believe it will work just the same. im pretty sure that the guide shows to write that if your having someone whos not an official translator, translate the document.
