We are in Nicaragua. Her passport has her maiden name on it

Her Cedula (national ID card) has er maiden name on it

Her Residency Card expired

we have her NOA with the WAC-08-###-##### saying the is entitled to everything her residency gave her because it is exteneded for 1 year while beeing processed.

Now, Who here knows what kind of guff they are going to give me when we return next week? Just second screening? We are coming back together. She left 3 weeks before me (to visit) that was the plan

Also What kind of ####### can I expect from Airport Security in Houston to make our connection? She has no other form of photo ID. Only that expired residency card. Now, 2 years ago we were able to show a legal name change with our marriage certificate (which whe have :-D ). Is airport security going to pitch a fit because her Residency CARD expired if we have the letter with us? I mean the card expired, not her or her new name right?

Is her GC in her maiden name or married? Make sure that you have a copy of your marriage certificate with you just in case.

IO's at airports are a breed apart from the rest of humanity so who knows what sort of reaction they will have depends on the day of the person you see I suppose. You should not have any problems and Im sure that they have seen these letters before. At the very least, if your pulled aside it might just add a bit of time but I would not stress that you have done something wrong, you are just waiting for your card.
