A co-sponsor would be supporting him/herself, anyone else in their household, plus the intending immigrant. They will need to fill out the affidavit of support and submit financial documents proving they can support their household plus the intending immigrant. The application for the affidavit of support should give you the information you need.

I dont know if Im doing this right....replying back.....Anyways, my sister did some "reading up" on the requirements a co-sponsor has to meet...She (the co-sponsor) says, If ANYTHING was to happen to my financee that I coulnt cover financially IE: he gets run over by a bus for heavens sake then she would be responsible for the medical bills ????? Also, If he was to divorce me after 2 years (and not get naturalized) then she would be responsible for his support for 10YEARS ?????? Could somebody please advise me further on this ?? What does it take for him to get Naturalized ?

Thanks
