Hi,

My husband is on F1 visa. I want to file his AOS asap but in most of the application they are asking for his A #. I couldnt find his A # anywhere. I am not sure if F1 visa holder gets one A # or not?

If yes, where can I find his A #?

Also, when you file AOS, do you need to have cover letter for each application or just one cover letter with detail information about all forms?

If someone has sample cover letter, please let me know where can I find one? How do you send all these applications together? any suggestions?

Thank you in advance.

The F-1 is a non-immigrant visa so I *think* it won't have an A number. I *know* that J-1 visas (used for other types of students) do not.

If he has an A number, it will be on the visa and will begin with A.

We only sent one cover letter for all three applications (I-130, AOS, and EAD). I doubt I still have a sample though, that was 3½ years ago.

Also, can a mod please move this to the AOS forum?
