Hi!

I've been browsing this forum for a while now. I have been thinking and talking to my wife what to do.

Finally we decided to go ahead with consular filing in Sweden. This is what happend so far.

She came over and we filed april 11, i-130. Turned out i was missing a certified divorce decree from my previous marriage other wise the consular would have approved the i-130 right away since we had the 864, police record and all other necessary documents. Got the the decree and sent it in april 19 and got the second part of the ds-230 back today, the 21th with an appointment for interview may 3. Did the medical today, which i wrote on the ds-230 part 1.

As I said. i have been browsing this forum for a while and I have never seen anything as fast as this. So all you out there who is wondering. go ahead for consular filing. Hope some Swedish "browser" reads this.

Nice weekend to ya all ;)

I really wish we had been able to file at Stockholm but the tax authority did not get our marriage recorded before I had to return to the US. Now we are nearing our 1 year anniversary and still living apart. However our case should be at the embassy in a couple weeks at most.
