Hello all.

As of the 13th of December, the NVC has received our petition :D

Just a little over 3 weeks since we got the approval notice on our I-129F.

I have some questions about the I-134 and what you need to bring to the Interview.

I think it was either last week or the week before I sent off for my Police Clearance Record via the Surrey Police, and a maximum of 40days is for them to notify us about it.

Now, about the I-134, if some of you have read some of my previous posts, then you would know that my fiancee (the petitioner) has arrived in the UK on November the 24th.

A question about the I-134 is:

1. It is to my understanding that aside from the Co-Sponsor, the petitioner also needs to fill out an I-134. Is this correct?

2. If the petitioner does need to fill out an I-134, does she need Tax Returns? If so, dating how far back? A few months? A year?

3. Because the I-134 needs to be signed by a public notary, but according to the USCIS site, because the petitioner is going to get the I-134 signed out of the US, where would we have to do that in the UK? Would any public notary work? Or does it need to be signed by the US Embassy as the site states?

And some other questions in regard to being prepared for the interview:

1. When do I need to book my Full Checkup? And where? Does the Embassy state where it needs to be done? And if so, do they notify me about going to get an appointment closer to the interview date?

2. What else do I need to bring to the Interview ASIDE the following:

- Police Clearance record

- Updated letter of intent to marry

- Proof of meeting

- Proof of a bonified relationship (pictures, scrapbook, emails, etc)

- I-134 from Co-Sponsor and Petitioner (?)

- NOA2 + NOA1 (?)

- The medical checkup forum or whatever it is that they give me or forward to the US Embassy

What else do I need to bring?

Thanks in advance

Oh P.S. I know that the packets send these forms:

"The fiancé(e) visa packet consists of a biographic data form DS-230-I Part I, form DS-156 (in duplicate), form DS-156K, form DS-157 (males aged 16 to 45 only), form DS-2000 and a document checklist, form IV-15."

But aside from that and the information stated above (the checklist), what else will I need?

Thanks

Lots of questions!!

1-both the petitioner and the cosponsor must fully complete the I134, even if the petitioner has $0 assets

2-Yes - i think technically 3 years but i have heard London not being so strict on this. Nevertheless, i would recommend taking at least 1 years tax returns and W2s, or transcripts from IRS are good too apparently

3-dont know this one about the notary! Is there a way of having it completed and posted to the states to get it notarized, then posted back to uk?

1-book full check up as soon as you have your LDN number. It has be done at the Knightsbridge doctors http://www.visamedicals.info/

2-that list is good, i would just recommend birth certificates and copies for both you and the petitioner, copies of literally everything to be on the safe side and a nice credit card to pay them to give you the visa!

On regard to question 3 about the notary, I am not sure that can be done because it needs to be signed in front of a notary, so having it done in someone elses place can be seen as fraud of a sort and just wouldn't be allowed I don't think.

Am I to believe that for the I-134, both forms need to be signed in sponsor of ME, not the Co-Sponsor needing theirs signed to the petitoner?

I also have a lot of questions about the I-134, I would list them but I am sure there is some guide here or something that is a walkthrough for the I-134 It confuses me and my fiancee though, mainly because of the little things like:

- The Co-Sponsor doesn't have a savings account, he has 2 checking accounts, would those work?

- About the "dependant" part, where it says ... Is wholly/partially dependant on me, would that be the beneficiarys name, of the petitioners name from the Co-Sponsor? And I assume when the petitioner fills out a I-134, that would be my name under the dependant part?

A lot of it would come down to if the Co-Sponsor is filling out the form for my name (the beneficiary) or the petitioner.

Thanks in advance, please don't forget my questions from my 1st post! :)

If the petitioner (US citizen) will be outside of the United States, the affidavit must be sworn to or notice affirmed before a U.S. Consular or Immigration officer. In order for it to be correctly notarized in the USA, the signer must be present.

To answer your latest questions:

-- checking account is fine

-- The "dependent on me for support" does not include you or the beneficiary. Both you and the co-sponsor will list the beneficiary (your fiancée) in question 3 ("affidavit executed on behalf of").

Good luck!

So, question 8, "dependant on me for support" neither the Co-Sponsor or beneficiary fills that out period?

And I am glad checking account is fine.

From what I understand, they will fill that out for other people that are dependents (ie - if they have children). It comes into play when determining income sufficiency (comparing it to the poverty line for household size, etc)
