Consulate Review: Guatemala
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : September 8, 2009
Embassy Review : I had to wait for about 2 hours when they called me to check on my papers ( it really helped that my husband was so annal about things) Everything was in order and they told me to sit down a again. * A lot of people got denied that day or were sent home because they didn't have their papers in order*
I was called again about an hour and a half later they asked me why did i live in England before, why did I get a divorce? when and where did I met my husbad?
Have I had any problems with the law in any country? Timeline between my divorve and wedding. Where has my husband lived? How often did he come to see me? ( I had photocopies of his passport and the entries in Guatemala) They were happy to see that I had two albums with pictures. They asked me to show them a few pictures and where and when were they taken.) She said everything is in order your visa has been approved!!!!
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
