Consulate Review: Bogota, Colombia
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : July 14, 2009
Embassy Review : Sooooooooo easy!!!!

1) We arrived at 6:45am and went to Line #3. Received our green stickers and went through security (no cell phones, computers, etc...).

2) Went to area 40...applicants that were back for the 2nd-3rd times were processed first...Received our folder and instructions (8:20am)

3) Added the required documents to the folder and waited for our turn

4) called to window #30 for initial submission (10:40am) and then sent to window #2 for fingerprinting

5) waited to be called for interview

6) called for interview(11:18am)...She provided 5 photos was asked 3 easy questions...Visa Approved (11:21am)

7) filled out Domesa paperwork and paid fee

8) Back in the taxi (11:45am)

Items of note: Almost everything is in Spanish; You will be outside the entire time so bring a jacket; The seats are very uncomfortable; There is coffee and snacks available; If you are there for CR1 you will only be going to "Green" windows (ignore all of the activity at the others)

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
