Embassy Review : Got there at 11:25am for my 11:30am interview and walked right in. The security gave me a little look because of my chapstick but he asked me to use it, was convinced it wasn't harmful and let me pass.

Went right down to the second door and to the desk where the guy asked if I had pictures and all my documents together. He gave me a number and sent me to section A. Waited about 10 minutes and got called to a window where a girl I used to go to school with put my papers together and took them from me. I had to pay the visa fee and take the reciept back to her and then went on to section B. Waited there for another 15 minutes and got finger printed and then sent to section C. Waited in section C for 2 hours and 30 minutes, then finally got called. Interview took all of 45 seconds. The CO was really nice and she sent me along my way with a pink slip to take to airpack express.

My only issue with the day was the long wait. I was there for approx 3 hours and only 5 minutes was spent actually doing anything. The other 2hours and 55 minutes was waiting.

Anyway...glad it's behind me and I'd give them a 4 out of 5.
Rating : Good

POE Review: Miami
Event Description
Entry Date : 2008-10-01
Embassy Review : Well...my flight from Jamaica got to Ft. Lauderale Intl on time. Took about 5 minutes to get off the plane and into the immigration section. The line moved really quickly for the number of people that were in there. That took about 5 more minutes for me to get to the front.

I went to the I.O. and she was really nice, I got her right before she came off her shift too. That was another few minutes and then she took me to a room where I sat for another 5-7 minutes. A lady called me and I signed a form two times and then she took two fingerprints of one of my fingers. I spent another minute trying to get her to give me my marriage certificate but she told me they had to keep the originals so I should just apply for another one.

When I got the baggage area I stood around for a few minutes when I saw my bags in a corner (they had already come out and were waiting for me). I collected them and went to customs where the guy just took the form from me and wished me good luck...didn't even run them through the scanner.

From the plane to outside was 25 minutes. I give Ft. Lauderdale a 10/10

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
