Event Description

Embassy Review : Hello everyone I had my interview today scheduled at 6:30 am for CR 1 visa and it was successful..
Here it goes...

I was called for fingerprinting before the prescreener interview.
Here are the questions with the prescreener...window 20.

When did u marry?
What was your work before? Beauty and sales consutant. So that's where you're good at? Of course.Tell me what do i need to do with my skin? You have dry skin blah blah blah
How come your daughter is in your husband's income tax while his kids arent? because he gave up conjugal share for child support
Does he support you? yes

He didnt ask for any papers. I have a thick file in front of him he said it's complete.

With the lady consul at window 27, middleaged and pretty. (no more oath taking)

So you are...so and so
And your husband is ...
Does he have kids? yes 2
Do u have kids? 1
And hes working as? verification loan officer far from his degree hes a child psychologist and she said oh and smiled.
And your daughter is ....(trailing off) from a previous relationship (my 3year old daughter is a good icebreaker her shoes were in between me and the consul i apologized that she couldnt sit still and she smiled and said it's ok no problem.)
have u ever been to the states or applied for a tourist visa? no and she said...wow u sound american gee thanks...my mom taught english and i had been watching american movies while growing up.
She then clicked and clicked her computer and said well everything loooks great. have a seat we will calll u again for the processing of your visa. (I already saw my file with an APPROVED stamp during the conversation.)

I couldnt resist and asked I will be staying in manila for a few more days can i just pick up my visa? and she said sure no problem. and i saw her change the pink slip to purple and attached it to my file. it will be ready by monday and she stopped and said oh its a holiday so maybe by tues and wed it will be ready.
She said you're good. Congratulations! Then I waited for my name to be called again then i went to window 37 and spoke to the releasing officer he said i will get a call from them to instruct me how to pick up my visa. I asked if my documents have been verified and he said yes we have the results so its ok now. I got the purple slip and left.

I would like to thank VJ for the amazing help it has been for us. I was more confident and secure knowing I have done everything right and more. To the people who have shared their knowledge...I am deeply grateful. More power to the website it has been a tremendous source of information.
To all of you who are still waiting...your time will come and when it does it will be a breeze. Thank you all.

P.S.
Your congressman can help!
My daughter's I-130 petition is still on process (sent last week of april) and my husband sought the help of his congressman for humanitarian reasons since shes just 3 years old and it was approved in vermont in less than 24 hrs , 16 hrs to be exact. he put a call may 15 and it was approved may 16. hence, i brought my daughter to the interview as advised by this person from the congressman's office.
the consul noted that my daughter didnt have to appear for an interview anymore since shes there today. i will have more updates about my daughter's case next week if she can fly with me right away and just finish the process there or just finish all documents here, only expedited.
God Bless!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
