Local US CIS Office Review: Portland OR
Review Topic: cis_topic
Event Description
Review Date : March 13, 2019
Embassy Review : Although the officer was very nice and made a couple jokes with us, she asked all the relevant questions.
I have unauthorized work in my background so she really touched on that.
I didn’t get an approval on the spot and she was very ambiguous about whether she would recommend us for approval or they would request more evidence.
My case status changed to “Interview was completed and case must be reviewed” which made me a little concerned but after a little more than three weeks it changed to “New card is being produced”

Despite the heavy questioning on my unauthorized work, I never felt harassed. She was just doing her job and I was already expecting those questions.
Harassment Level : Very Good

right now on visa journey the estimate is that your advanced parole will be approved between February 12, 2019 and February 17, 2019. When those dates come, can you please update us on if you have heard back? This will help everyone know that the visa journey estimates are correct!

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.

** Not all cases are transfered
