Comments : Everything was too smooth.

I handed over my Visa Package to the Officer and he asked, 'Why are you visiting U.S.A'? I answered, 'To join my Fiancé and get married to him'. He said 'Ooh! That's wonderful! Welcome to U.S.A!'

I THANK GOD FOR HIS UNENDING GRACE!

Event Description

Embassy Review : I thank God for His Grace!

Interview: June 20th, 2018.

I (with my lovely Fiancé and my sister) arrived at the Embassy by 5:30am. We met many people waiting. My appointment was for 7:30am. The first security check started by 6:00am. After a short while, Nonimmigrant and Immigrant Applicants were separated and two lines were formed. All sealed envelopes (including Medical Result) were asked to open. All the checks were done, numbers assigned (My No.= 48) and we made our way to the Main/Interview Hall (across the street). Inside the hall, I joined the queue for the Immigrant Visa Applicants. At the window, the Nigerian Man requested for my Passport, 2 Passport Photos, Copy of my Birth Certificate, DS-160, Copy of Appointment Letter, Police Certificate, Medical unsealed envelope, Affidavit of Support and Tax Returns (I asked him what year and he said 'anyone you're with'. So, I gave him 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014). After that, I waited for my number to be called by a Nigerian Woman for Fingerprinting. Then, I waited for a long time for my number to be called for the proper interview. During the waiting, I positioned to monitor the method the COs (2 Men and a Woman) were asking questions (you could hear them).😀 They were all nice and I made a short prayer for God to choose the right person for me. After a while, my number was called by the Korean American Man at Window 17.

The Interview Commenced..👇

Me: Good morning, Sir.

CO: Good morning. How are you?

Me: I'm fine and you?

CO: I'm good.

CO: So, what's the name of your Fiancé?

Me: Answer

CO: How did you meet?

Me: Answer

CO: ***cut in*** Who was he visiting?

Me: Answer

CO: Ooh! Okay, how did you two become romantic?

Me: Ooh! We found out we have so many things in common.

CO: Such as?

Me: Answer ***3 things, including Watching Movies😁

CO: What kind of movies do you watch?

Me: Horror movies 😀

CO: Which movies have you watched together?

Me: Queen of the South, Game of Thrones and The Ghost & the Tout

CO: Has he visited again since you met?

Me: Yes. He visited this june and he's still in Nigeria with me. He's outside the hall.

CO: Oh! He's outside waiting for you?

Me: Yes.

CO: ***looks at the Tax Return*** I can ses your 'Husband' has a son...

Me: ***cut in*** Husband? No, we aren't married yet.

CO: Oh! I'm sorry! I can see your Fiancé has a son.

Me: Yes. Actually, he has 2 children. A boy and A girl.

CO: How old are they?

Me: 9 years and 7 years old, although the girl will be 7 tomorrow.

CO: Do you have pictures of you together?

Me: Yes...***I brought out the pictures (31)***

CO: ***He glanced at them all together, smiled at one (a funny catty snapchat I had with my Fiancé) and pointed at one*** Where's this?

Me: At the Beach, Elegushi Beach...here in Lagos

CO: Okay...I'm going to Approve your Visa. Congratulations.

Me: Thank you, Sir. I appreciate.☺

CO: You're welcome.

I wished others waiting 'Goodluck' and left the hall. My Fiance hugged me and was excited.

The proper interview lasted just 3-5 mins. It was fast and like a conversation. I was relaxed, smiling and hopeful.

We were about 60 Immigrant Visa Applicants. All were approved except 3. The first was asked to return some additional documents with his passpoet given back to home, a spousal visa applicant was asked to send additional documents (he was inconsistent and unsure with some of his answers...saying 'I wouldn't know' 'I don't think so' and the third person was denied because her Fiancé was still sharing tbe same address with his ex-wife (literally, they are living under the same roof. ***The CO asked her, " What's the relationship between your Fiancé and his ex-wife*** That was when I knew domething was wrong).

My Advice: Be Calm, Pray, Prepare to stand for long at the Embassy, Be consistent with your answers, Never make the CO have second thought about your case, Concentrate and Everything will work well for you.

My Case:
We didn't frontload (submitted a Passport Stamp and 3 Pictures).
We met twice in person (When we met and when he came to visit).
Short Relationship Duration (We met in August, 2017 and filed in October, 2017).

ONE WITH GOD IS MAJORITY!! GOD IS GRACEFUL!🙏

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
