Embassy Review : Interview Process:
I arrived at 730 am (interview appointment at 8). There was a line outside so I waited til the security guard waved me in. There is a women to the right who took my passport and put a sticker on it and gave me a lamenanted paper with the list of documents and the order they want them in. I was number 8! After, I was waved in to go through security. You place all your stuff in the bin and walk through a metal detector, you get your stuff back minus any electronics. (no purses or backpacks or large bags either). When you get to the immigration room, you sort your documents out and wait. By the time we got upstairs it was 8am and I was called to window #3 at 825am. Took about 15 minutes. She asked name of petitioner, and to verify his address and phone number. She took all my documentation and asked for 2 extras (photocopy of petitioners birth certificate and colored copy of passport). My fingerprints were taken and she made small talk about my very obvious pregnant belly then I was handed the immigration domestic violence package and sent to sit back in the waiting room.

Next was the actual interview, I called to
window/room 8 for interview at 950 took 10 minutes. It's a small room with a lady behind glass. I took an oath to tell the truth and she started by asking a few questions. I was asked: how we met? when we started talking? hit it off right away? when did we meet in person? who visited first? how many times did we visit each other? what he does for work?if either of us has ever been married before for either of us have kids? If I have ever been/lived in any other country and if I have ever been turned away at the border?

She took some finger prints again and handed me a pink paper that said welcome to United States of American and gave me instructions about getting my visa.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
