Consulate Review: Guayaquil, Ecuador
Review Topic: IR-1/CR-1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : May 15, 2019
Embassy Review : My husband had hi interview at the Guayaquil US Consulate in Ecuador. He arrived early with all his documents and at entry was asked to show the letter that he had an interview, once that was provided he went through security check and was told to sit in the waiting room. He was called up to give in all his paperwork and was told to sit down to which the consular will call him for his interview.

Moments later, he was called to begin his interview. The consular asked him a few questions, our relationship, my name, my job, what he plans on doing in the US, and that was pretty much it. He was then told he was approved and received a slip which told him congratulations and what to expect in the upcoming days as the Visa is being processed.

It took a week and 2 days to receive the stamped Visa in his passport.

Overall it went smooth and there were no problems for him.
Rating : Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
