Consulate Review: Moscow, Russia
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : October 25, 2017
Embassy Review : We waited outside the embassy in a line until it was time for us to go in. We were directed through security and went through another check before we went upstairs to a fairly small waiting room. There was a "teller" window and we checked in there and then sat for about 20-30 minutes. The main person seemed to be busy training new employees. (This was during the time 700+ workers were about to be expelled by Russia.) Eventually, we were called. I thought we would go to a private office, but instead we moved to another place with a bank-style teller window again. The woman (maybe in her 30s) was very nice. She asked us basic questions about how we met and when I came to Moscow. It took about five minutes. We offered to show photos and she took them and looked at maybe 2 or 3. She said we were approved...congrats and goodbye.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
