Comments : Everything went super smooth at the port of entry (San Francisco). We landed in California around 6:30 am, and had about a 45 minute wait before arriving at our window; however, once at the window it took less than 10 minutes until we were on our way to our next flight, and the officer was super nice.

Comments : Really easier than expected. We took very little with us to the interview. Only 3 or 4 collage images we had printed out of vacation and holiday dinners with our family here since being married in 2017. The interviewer hardly even asked any questions. We just all sat and carried on a friendly conversation in his office while he looked over their file. My wife was 6 months pregnant at the time, and perhaps that helped "authenticate" our relationship in their eyes more than any paperwork ever could. Anyway, all the anxiety leading up to the interview was completely misplaced as the interview itself was maybe a 15 minute process, and that includes the few minutes it took for him to go make photocopies of our ID's and such. Good luck to everyone else going through this process.

Consulate Review: Manila, Philippines
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 18, 2017
Embassy Review : It was really easy!! I (petitioner) attended w/ my fiance, and found the whole process from the time I arrived (about 20 mins prior to scheduled appointment) to be very well organized. We were finished in about 1 hour, and the majority of that time was sitting waiting to be ushered to our window. If everything in your package is in order, and your relationship is genuine then your experience should be pleasantly easy. We didn't take a bunch of extra "evidence" with us, but we didn't need to because I've been in the Philippines with her for 20 of the last 28 months. I would definitely suggest you be here in the Philippines with her if you are able to; however, you may not want to stand beside her in the actual interview process (there is room to back up a little). Reason being is because it can make her more nervous to be flanked by (2) english speaking Americans (you and interviewer) as she tries to compose her answers. My fiance said if she had to do it again she would tell me to back up or go sit down, and let her handle it. All in all.. no complaints from me. St. Luke's is a different story.. haha.
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
