Comments : We landed in Boston on time. This wasn't my first time going through customs at that airport and it has always been quick and easy. I went to the visa/first time ESTA line and only had to wait for about 15 minutes. The CBP officer was very nice and asked me when we plan on getting married. I said we didn't have a date set yet, and he told me we have 90 days, until June 10th. He opened the sealed envelope and looked at my medical documents. I asked him if he needed the x-ray CD too and he told me I could keep it. He said everything looked ok, stamped my passport and wished me good luck.

Embassy Review : My appointment was at 12:30. I arrived at 12:15 and they let me in. I went through security and they kept my phone. A lady at the lobby asked for my name and passport and they gave me a turn number. I went in the waiting room and it was almost empty. They called me at 12:30 to the first window where a lady took my passport, the visa payment confirmation and my medical exam documents. She gave me back my original birth certificate that I sent with packet 3, the sealed xray cd and an IMBRA pamphlet. She then told me to sit back and wait to be called again. After only 5 minutes they called my number and I went to a new window with a very nice young lady. She asked me if the interview could be in English and I said no problem. She took my oath and scanned my fingerprints. Then the interview began: how we met, how many times I visited, how he proposed, when we plan on getting married, what he does for a living, etc. She then told me she's from a town close from where my fiancé lives and that she saw the Red Sox tickets that we included in the original I-129f application and that she's a fan too. After that she said everything in our application looked fine so I was approved. I was out of the building at 12:45, so the whole process only took about half an hour.
Rating : Very Good

Embassy Review : I went to have my biometrics taken at the new ASC in East Hartford, CT. It's located at the School Street Shopping Plaza, next to Subway. It was very easy and quick. I didn't have to go through security and I even saw people with cellphones, which are apparently forbidden. I only went in with my appointment letter and driver's license.

I had to fill out a quick form and after giving it back to the receptionist I was called for a picture, signature and fingerprints.
Harassment Level : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
