Port of Entry Review
Event Date
Port of Entry : Newark
POE Date : 2017-04-28
Got EAD Stamp : Yes,Passport Stamp
Biometrics Taken : Yes
Harassment Level : 0
Comments : Well, I guess I was too worried by the time I arrived in the US. There was a big line, the first officer had a serious face, never smiled. He made a few questions, all simple ones though. He escorted me to a second room, which I was asked to wait until they call my name. The second office who received my big envelope said "oh my god", I guess he was like "one more?!" haha. Anyway, it took around an hour of wait in this second room. Apparently they were just chatting there, telling jokes and having fun (?). I was finally called, he was in the mood and made a joke about me being sure I really wanted to marry. I laughed and said yes I do. They didnt really check on my hangbags at all. I think it was pretty much easy, just a little long.

Consulate Review: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : March 28, 2017
Embassy Review : I got to the consulate in Rio an hour before my appointment, there was a huge line of people waiting outside but I knew I didn't have to wait in the same line so I asked directions for a officer and they guided me to the right door. I went upstairs to the second floor, filled up a form, got my fingerprints scanned and then waited for my turn. The interviewee was very nice. She seemed very friendly and kind, she made just a couple questions. I made the oath and started the interview.
"Have you ever been married? "
" has he ever been married?"
"Do you have children?"
"Does he have children?"
"have you ever had a visa denied?"
Honestly I don't think someone needs to fear the interview as long as you have all the papers and you're telling the truth, you're all set.
Good luck everybody

Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
