Consulate Review: Bucharest, Romania
Review Topic: K1 Visa
Event Description
Review Date : August 3, 2016
Embassy Review : I arrived at the Embassy at 12:30. I waited accross the street until 1pm when a security guard came and checked our passports and then called us inside. We were scanned and we had to leave our phone with them. I had no bags, just my wallet and my papers. Inside, I was called to give my passport, then they took my fingerprints, and then I paid the visa fee. After about 5-10 minutes I was called for the actual interview. A very nice lady asked a lot of questions about our relationship, but I was so nervous that I am not able to remember them all and list them here. The toughest one was: 'what would you do if you wouldn't get the visa'. In the end she congradulated me and aproved my visa. Everything was extremely professional, it was not crowded, no waiting in lines, I was done in 40 minutes. I had a really good experience. Good luck to you all!
Rating : Very Good

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
