There has been a lapse in immigration NVC
service from May 04 until July 27th as we were unable to pay our IV payment due to the site being down so they say or( revamped ) this set us back almost 3 months. Up date, it is now October and we had to contact the Senator of Michigan to help us with the NVC, as they kept telling me I was missing documents that I was not missing. I had resent at their request 3 different times the same documents they received in the IV package. I am now awaiting an interview date and was told by the NVC (after the Senator contacted them) that my case was now complete and I again wait for the date of the interview. Thank you to the Michigan Senator we received a date for November 23 2015. Without her help we would still be waiting.Suggestion for interview, just bring everything that was originally sent to uscis as sometimes the consulate is missing documents. Like divorce papers, financial papers..really everything because we had papers that were not forwarded etc... Got caught in the change over from Loomis courier to Canada Post. So it took almost 2 full weeks to get visa. What ever could happen to delay things for us, did. This whole process took over a year and it was only suppose to take approx. 6 months. If you need to contact your senator for assistance, dont hesitate to do so. I believe without the help of the senator we would still be waiting for an interview at the consulate. The organization is very disorganized and do not know what each other is doing. Too many people doing things, and not case managed as it should be for each case.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the
USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
