Consulate Review: Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

Event Description
Review Date : April 2, 2015
Embassy Review : Hello! sorry for the delay to report the experience in the interview, but was hoping to get my passport
I will summarize because we have an explanation of the process described before in visajourney, then I will relate my personal experience.

Before I begin, I want to thank visajourney community for helping me, it really was great value.

Come on

My interview was scheduled for 24/03 at 09:20 am

With regard to medical examinations:

I'm from São Paulo and even within a week of my exams I did not know who had registered doctor in my town because the consulate's website, was out of date by the time to do my exams, because it made the consultation and examinations in Rio de Janeiro. I tried to carry them out a week before, when it came to the day of the interview they were already on the consulate, solved nothing, according to the consular officer had problems with the post office and my exams on the day of my interview had not arrived yet. I advise the staff here in Brazil researching a lot about the offices, to prevent any unnecessary expenses as have I, taking into account the consultation and examinations are very expensive. However, I had no major problems.

Interview:

Really useless to arrive an hour before your interview given by the consulate, mine was scheduled at 09:20 am and was being interviewed only at 11:30 am.
To my surprise the first bride to be interviewed by the CO it was denied, leaving the other 13 brides very worried in the room
Alex is the famous red vest of person who helps a lot when organizing documents, it is worth mentioning the need to take the birth certificate of the US petitioner (which they do not ask when they send the interview confirmation email so pay attention ...).
When it was my turn, the Consul of oriental features and very friendly made five basic questions:
How did you meet?
When we first met in person?
When he came to Brazil
Who asked asked who?
What was the question?
Congratulations!your visa was approved!! We are waiting doctors exams arrive for send your passport to your home.
It did not take two minutes in the Consul's office.

*Notice about estimates: The estimates are based off averages of other members recent experiences
(documented in their timelines) for the same benefit/petition/application at the same filing location.
Individual results may vary as every case is not always 'average'. Past performance does not necessarily
predict future results. The 'as early as date' may change over time based on current reported processing
times from members. There have historically been cases where a benefit/petition/application processing
briefly slows down or stops and this can not be predicted. Use these dates as reference only and do not
rely on them for planning. As always you should check the USCIS processing times to see if your application
is past due.
